A Simple Nonlinear Companding Transfrom for Nonlinear Compensation of Direct-Detection Optical OFDM Systems

In direct-detection OFDM systems, the nonlinear effects caused by optical modulation and fiber transmission can degrade system performance severely. this study, we propose a new companding transform to improve of direct detection systems. The demonstration is realized Monte-Carlo simulation intensity DCO-OFDM at 40 Gbps over 80 km standard single mode link. influence parameters on in different conditions has been investigated via simulation.

Volterra-based Nonlinear Compensation in 400 Gb/s WDM Multiband Coherent Optical OFDM Systems

We apply a 3 rd -order inverse Volterra series nonlinear equalizer to a 400 Gb/s WDM multiband PM-16QAM OFDM signal.
